Family And Work. How to have time here and there. My experience

The other day I read comments to one of posts and got terrified: so many work from a morning to night, not seeing family, someone abandons children on a weekend with grandmothers, and go to do orders, etc. I remember myself a few years ago, when I only began to work: round the clocks I sit at the computer, all weekend I wrote down tutorials and wrote the articles, and when orders went, then I began to work yet at nights. Even being on a vacation, I continued to work.

But once I got on the living training that compelled me fully to cut again the business hours. Training was on a quite remote theme, however at some instant a trainer said: "In the process of work and by a race after money you have no authority to forget about those, for whom you do all of it. Those, who you so try for the sake of, must be always on the first place for you ". These words opened  my eyes on my situation. Actually, only for the sake of these words I needed to come on this training.
I understood that trying to do better to the family, I do only worse. What will remember my daughter after a few years: that how cool we went at the seaside that year or that she did not see the mother that ploughed practically, that a child enjoyed in summer? Beautiful dresses/blouses or always sitting at the computer mother that worked, to make her daughter look as a doll?
Then I said myself - my family is the topmost.
How it reflected in reality:
1. I took to myself that time, when I will not work not under any circumstances - on Sunday and each evening, when daughter comes from school. This time is only for her.
2. On Saturday we, as a rule, work, but child here with us: we assign her that she helped us, or she engages in the businesses in this moment - draws, plays, reads. Thus on Saturday we do not abandon important businesses requiring an overpressure, therefore during work we communicate calmly, laugh loudly, joke. If it is needed to do something, requiring a concentration, then it only then, when daughter sleeps. Such principle allows us not to be nervous, if daughter distracts us with something, and vice versa, work merry and friendly.
3. I began to work less, but more productive. For me the always strictly taken time is on writing of posts, prosecution of tutorials and answers on a comments. This time occupies at most 2 hours in a day. All other time, if I work on orders, I do not open web-sites that does not need me for work presently.
4. To teach myself to work, not distract, I periodically include a timer (before I used him constantly).
As I use a timer. Maximal time on that it can be set - 45 minutes, minimum 5 minutes. When I only began to work with a timer, I put a timer during all day: 45 minutes on this work, 15 minutes ona break during that it is possible to have a drink of tea or getting on some other work, et cetera. You do not present how much can be done for a day! For example, I could work at once on two different orders, and quite not to get tired, because I changed the type of activity constantly. Mainly, beforehand to prepare all necessary materials and instruments on different tables and after the wearing-out of timer it is simple to pass to other business. It allows to work a ten times more productive and quicker!

5. I use helpers. As helpers for me acquaintances and relativescome forward, as a rule.
For what works it is possible to take helpers. For example, it is possible to find a helper on the dispatch of parcels to the customers, in fact it occupies lots of time - to go down on mail, stay in a turn, fill in form et cetera. By the way, helpers can become your family members are childrenwith the greatest pleasure, cadets and sisters, and can be grandmothers and grand-dads. Maybe, they only wait when you will ask them about it. For example, my daughter adores, when many colors are ordered by me, because she helps to pack every floweret in a package and clamp a package with a stapler.
6. We often speak with a husband and with a child on a theme work and joint rest. We build plans together, put aims, discuss, how these aims we will arrive at. It gives us all understanding that we are family, but not each by themselves.
7. I renounce orders and projects, if it conflicts with the 1 point of this list. All money cannot be earned, and there is a domestic peace - this is the most important. It is possible to treat  without that chic dress on a New Year, it is possible not to eat for three chocs a day, it is possible rarer to walk in restaurants, but more often to be with the native, more often to speak with them, to have a resttogether, watch films, go for a walk on the forest.
 
In this post I wanted to say that Your family –is the most expensive, what you have. You have no right to deprive the family attention for the sake of work.
Sit down and think over, how you must cut again the business hours and activity so that were with familyyou a sufficient amount of time:
- work more productive and quicker;
- leave off a clock to sit in social networking and publics;
- search helpers;
- eventually, renounce those projects that will bring to you not very much money, but will take away plenty of time.

How I Became An Artist

So it turned out that after many years of corporate life I became... an artist.

I did not present before, that it would become another my profession and engaged in distant from drawing businesses - wrote the articles, worked in quality business-trainer, leader of projects and commands, made movies, organized and conducted measures and charity projects, and other great deal...

My work was creative always and almost always was corporate.
About 7-10 years ago I bought to myself child's box of paints, to try. And on a weekend began little by little to draw. Tried different techniques - drew on a canvas, paper, on t-shirts, on furniture, on umbrellas, on bags (most exotic now is a car). And when timecame again to choose, into what side to go out - in a corporation or in clean work –I chose paints and brushes. Clear that my office and dress-code became quite different.

I did not sell the works before. And after my cardinal decision approximately through 2 month was sold first. It was very exciting. Will of fates I began to draw on fir-tree marbles (appeared, that this is a rare ability, but I did not simply know then). There was no confidence in myself, as in an artist. And suddenly appeared, that people like my works.

After marbles I began to master painting small boxes, in passing wrote pictures, a bit painted a clothing, umbrellas, clock. This is one of my first-ever small boxes.  Now lives in Switzerland.
 
At the same time I began to master another new direction - creation of ties-butterflies from a skin. And now I move from drawing to the skin and back, and sometimes I combine it :)

Now many of my works flew away on different houses and even countries. Soviet to it. I often expend ten hours on one work. And I want very much, that it brought gladness to the that house and to that human that will get it.  I love interesting orders, and you always can appeal to me on this occasion. :)

Life in pleasure or about the benefit of unhurried

Many of us live in cities, many do not see how nature changes during throughout the year. It is very sadly, as a human in our days is very torn off from nature, from the smooth annual and daily changing of temperature, situation, and surroundings.

Think of it, how often you pay attention to that, how exactly the updating of nature proceed? We often see already blossomed out flowers, already turned yellow leaves, already fallen out snow. How does a flower opens up? How does a snowflake falls? How many days does it need to the bud, to open up? This keen spectacle that requires from us the unhurry of thinking and ability evenly to go with a stream of life
 Many surroundings began  to think, that speed of life increases, and the really important events pass by. Our kid began to speak, began to read. And already in an institute studies! Did you skipnothing? Also overboard our business-boat can appear intermingling with friends, work by hands in a garden or some the needlework for the soul, star nights, autumn walks among falling leaves, bathing in a forest lake, grandmother histories and tea-drinking with the handwritten prepared dessert.

 And yet it would be desirable separately to add that a woman must see beautiful every day, every hour, minute of the life. The more beautiful and really standing a woman sees,  by the more comfortable and pleasant things she surrounds itself - the more heat she will be able to give to surrounding. A woman possesses staggering ability to accumulate and give a heartfelt heat. If she is good, if she is happy - will be happy everybody, who is next to her.
We wish the peace of mind to you!
How can it affect needlework, sales, creative force? It seems, that mostly, positively.
Here a few advices, how to obtain the peace of mind, put in order life and enjoy surrounding world:
1. Create the daily routine. It will very help to distribute time you so that seized him both on work and on a dream, and on pleasant businesses. Necessarily do so that it was enough time for your children. This is very important! Do not plan more than 5-7 businesses a day. It is better to do small and well, than not to complete them and scold yourself for it.
2. Always work with pleasure. Do not take many orders, and if your work allows to sell much and not to do orders - give up them quite. Remember –you will not earn all money, and often enormous amount of money  is not needed for the personal happiness.

3. Live on facilities. Many things can in general appear superfluous. Do not overload your life and furnishing with things that are unavailing or do not bring to gladness. Buy onlywhat is really necessary.
4. Try to wake up in comfortable time for you, if it is possible. Many begin to wake up earlier, if able to make happy themself in a morning. For example, someone loves fresh coffee in a turk, and someone from an evening puts to itself a vase with flowers! Let every morning will be pleasant.
5. Try to do so that you always had a supply of monetary resources. It will allow to live you with a greater confidence in a morrow. Then it is simpler to work without dread to remain without a meal, if suddenly circumstances will change sharply.
6. Organize the workplace so that it was comfortably and pleasantly to work there exactly for you. It considerably will promote the productivity and pleasure from work.
7. Think of a pleasure of day for yourself. You can in general to write a list about a supply. And if a day will be gloomy, something is not repaired - peep in it more often and make yourself happy!
8. You are already engage in work. Find business that is unconnected with earnings - maybe, it will help to be distracted. It is needed some times.

9. Sleep so much, as your organism requires to. You will disbelieve, as far as your productivity will increase in business hours!
10. Do not refuse yourself in walks - even a trifle after the doors of your house can bring gladness or grow into a fruitful idea!
Mainly - do not forbid yourself to be glad and do not hurry like mad! Life will become more meaning full, more pleasant and more quiet!

Life After an Office or Something About Complications Accompanying a Dream

Many handmaders dream about leaving a job and make a living work. How to obtain it - is not a simple question, and this business is difficult. But possible :)

Now I want to tell about problems and complications that accompany "life of dream". Certainly, at every point there is a circulating, positive side. But there are two of them - plus and minus, I will tell about minuses, pluses are already known :)

1. First of all - considerable part of surrounding people will think that you went crazy. Before this you were engaged in normal business, you had a cute hobby, now your roof went down and you are wasting time. Well, if so the simply acquainted think, opinion of that does not influence on anything. Badly, if so the near think. Their disapproval or even aggression can spoil life so much. Eventually, who is pleasant to quarrel with near people? But here is only to decide for itself, that is more important: to live in peace with others or with itself.

2. Maybe, now you will feel shy to talk, what you are engage in. Before you were an operator, or accountant, or sales man these are clear businesses. It was easy and pleasant to name the profession. Now what? What you engage in - flowerets  modelling and sewing. So it is better at once to think of some beautiful showing off name.

3. Rest-time now is this time in that you do not make money. And a salary anymore is not present and will not be. From the one side, there is a risk to be too stuck in domestic and family businesses (you are now at home!) and there will be almost no earnings. From the other - personally I, for example, at some instant understood that I work absolutely all the time, that not busy with a child (and he is already grown enough and walks in a garden) and I do not cook. And in a weekend either. And even while with a child, I feel sense of guilt :at this time I would work and earn. Too badly, though profitable. It was a volitional decision to limit work hours to appoint weekends

4. You will no longer have a hobby. Because a former hobby – is a job now. You will have to look anything new! Mainly - not to make this a job too :)

5. Domestics, unfortunately, will not often understand, that if you are at home this does not mean that you do not work. You are at home. This means that you need to prepare 3 times per a day, to wash the dishes then, to drive everybody on preschool and schools, to go down in a shop, et cetera, and others like that.

6. Competitors all the time will come to you on heels. Did you think of unusual decorations? It is perfect, but over the months, crowd of imitators will appear for you, and sales can fall down. All the time it is needed to think of something yet, to study, do new, to walk ahead. It is "needed to hurry very quickly, for simply to remain at place".

7. You will have to bear in a mind and in a planner many things. 

Bloodcurdlingly many. To order business cards, do orders, buy materials, to reply to letters of customers, send away tracking numbers, do a long-planned interesting thing, watch the dates of fairs and give requests, and ten and hundreds of small and large businesses. Itcanfrighten.

8. And another fear - now all depends only on you. At work you are holded by very different people, including foolish, and lackadaisical, and so on. They often are not moved forward on a quarry stair, but a salary is paid. And you will not be able now to itself to allow to be stupid, give vent to the bad mood, to do it here better, there worse. To build the business very unsimply. Pranging is much easier. And this fear, this new responsibility - can strongly spoil life.

9. Your reputation, and, earnings, will depend on quite casual people. Your clients. Practically all of them are adequate good people, and if you do the work well, and reputation your will be good. But there are also brawlers, dishonest people, and simply loonies. Black stripe, a few such "customers" in succession - and the heap of bad reviews that can frighten off good clients is ready. And it means that you will begin to earn less money.

10. You may need very much discipline. Clients will not wait for weeks, while you will be visited by a muse. Therefore - daily labour, even if laziness, it is not desirable or no mood. (And herein difference of work from a hobby. We occupy a hobby under a mood, and working is necessary always. You will be able not to conceive a hatred the business. Will not it transform in the same boring job?) Will you be able to work without an overseer after a shoulder?

11. Now work almost for certain can not be "simply aborted from a head" after completion. It is leaving an office is possible to go out and to forget about everything till the next morning or till Monday. Let the owner have a headache, and you did the work and can with a clean conscience enjoy a hobby. Now you are the owner!

12. Career advancement will be to organize to itself independently. Nobody will promote a salary and will not appoint you as a main manager or chief of department. Do you want anymore? It will be to do independently, from the ground up. Quite from the ground up. Not simplyto become a master that does decorations and sells them over the internet, but the hostess of shop in the reality? It will be needed to find an apartment, buy in an equipment and additional materials, to design everything by itself, find and hire salespeople. Everything by itself.

13. There is a risk to sit at home and to keep indoors by weeks. Why to go out? After foods it is possible to go down simultaneously with the dispatch of parcels and in concert to go to buy materials, time to spend is pitiful. And it is bad for the health and mood. And to be ill is now impossible to you - nobody will pay for a hospital. You will have to take care of itself, if it is not desirable to remain without earnings.

14. Andthe last, on my opinion, most frightful. You appear up against a failure. Before you could say: ouch, this frigging job! Guzzles all the time, if it were not for it, I would have time for everything! Now there is no more job. There are you and your business. Will you be able to have time for everything, and if will not turn out? And will you be able to live with this fear? It is a heavy load - a closeness of own vulnerability, unsuccessful, not luck.

In the end it is possible to say out totals, that if you decided nevertheless dare! In fact you will never know till not try!
